DUNCAN LLEWELYN RENDALL: BA (Hons) Law (Upper Second Class) Oriel College, Oxford, Member of Gray's Inn, Master in Business Administration London Business School
CHAIRMAN AND FOUNDER

Duncan graduated with a 2.1 in Law from Oriel College, Oxford in 1986.  Three years later he passed the Bar Finals exam, having studied privately while working in the bond underwriting department of the Sumitomo Trust. After four years he left the Japanese bank and studied for an MBA at the London Business School, graduating in 1992.

While still at Business School, Duncan started Rendall & Rittner with his business partner Matt Rittner. Although the company was set up in 1990, Duncan gained valuable experience working for a year in the Treasury Department of Esso UK, after which he left to focus full-time on Rendall & Rittner.

Advising lessees and landlords on freehold acquisitions, RTM applications and management disputes, Duncan has been appointed by the London Valuation Tribunal (LVT) to manage several Central London schemes. Since 1999 these have included the landmark Cascades development in Docklands. In 2010 he became Chairman of Rendall & Rittner.

Duncan takes an active interest in the Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA). He is a past Chairman of the Association and is currently a Member of Council and a member of the Practice Committee. Duncan is also a Fellow of the Institute of Property Management.

MATTHEW RITTNER: MIRPM
FOUNDING DIRECTOR

Matt founded Rendall & Rittner in 1990 with his business partner Duncan Rendall. He continues to manage developments and is responsible for the insurance procurement and the Insurance and Legal Service Teams. 

Matt previously worked in the music industry. His entrepreneurial skills enabled him to start a small chain of record shops, among whose services was the wholesale import and export of records and CDs.

Matt is a dedicated family man and remains interested in a very wide range of music.

RICHARD DAVER: BSc (Hons) FCIH, MRICS
MANAGING DIRECTOR

A Chartered Surveyor, Richard joined Rendall & Rittner in 2006 to head a specialist team providing developers with long-term consultancy and management services. Richard has around 20 years' property management experience, spanning Local Authority, Housing Association and the private sector. He has also been instrumental in a range of substantial phased projects, from design concept stage through to full management of a completed scheme.

A member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Chartered Institute of Housing, Richard provides expert witness evidence on such areas such as service charge structure and general strategic approaches to new and complex developments.

Married with two children, Richard's pastimes include renovating and driving his 1966 racing green MGB sports car.

CATHERINE RIVA: BSc (Hons) CIHCM, Dip HE, MIRPM
DIRECTOR

With 14 years' experience spanning public and private housing sectors, Catherine joined Rendall & Rittner in 2006 to help set up the New Development team. Drawing on her extensive management experience, Catherine now specialises in consultancy and management services for often large and complex mixed-use schemes and supervises their subsequent management.

Catherine is a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing and the Institute of Residential Property Management.

Catherine loves to travel and has visited many parts of South America, including Costa Rica, Argentina and Belize. She has also travelled to Thailand, Malaysia and Australia.

STEPHEN MICHAEL ELLMAN: FIRPM
DIRECTOR

Joining Rendall & Rittner in 2006, Stephen is responsible for integrating new business, client liaison and the satellite office. Boasting 30 years' property management experience, Stephen was joint Managing Director of Gross Fine and is a Founding Member of the Association of Residential Managing Agents (ARMA).

He is a lifelong supporter of Tottenham Hotspur, an invaluable position for which he is currently training his 2-year-old grandson.

YVONNE DIANA JANDU: BSc (Hons)
FINANCE DIRECTOR

An expert in accountancy since 1991, Yvonne joined the company in 2007 and is responsible for the client bought and sales ledgers teams, credit control, client portfolio accounting team and the group accounts.

Yvonne's pastimes include being a member of a quiz league and walking. 

MATTHEW KIRK: BA (Hons) English and American Literature (2:2), MIRPM
DIRECTOR

Joining the company in 2002, Matt was first promoted to the Board of Directors in 2006. A year later he successfully delivered Investors in People status, as well as setting up an exchange programme with an Australian property management company.

Following a short break from property management Matt opened our Manchester office in 2008. In 2009 he was appointed Joint Chairman of ARMA's 'Newer Entrants' group and member of ARMA's Education Committee.

Matt's forte is sport, both as spectator and participant. He completed the 2004 and 2008 London Marathons with a best time of 4hrs 15mins. Matt regularly watches Norwich City FC, and has achieved a golfing handicap of 8.
