Training & Personal Development

Training and development is a vital, integral aspect of working with Rendall & Rittner. Our commitment is underlined by the external assessment of the Investors in People award.

We like all our internal staff to join and sit the Institute of Residential Property Management (IRPM)'s Part 1 exam, with Property Managers further encouraged to take Part 2. We also encourage all staff to undertake more training and sit professional qualifications that are relevant to their department.

These typically cover:

  • Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors Assessment of Professional Competence - RICS APC
  • Associate of Royal Institution of Surveyors - AssocRICS
  • AAT and CIMA accounting exams

To support training programmes we provide mentoring and coaching at all levels, including RICS Supervisors and Counsellors for appropriate qualifications.

Appraisals

Appraisals are carried out every six months, designed to review individual performances against agreed objectives, set new goals and training and identify development needs.

The review also includes a comprehensive appraisal of the relevant team leader, recalibrating management metrics and establishing what measures the manager could stop, start or continue in pursuit of better performance.

Graduate Training

Rendall & Rittner is a member of the Association of Graduate Recruiters. Committed to recruiting and training five graduates every year, we have structured a clearly-defined framework of skills-sets in which to develop staff in-house over an initial 18-month programme.

Graduates will be expected to have a RICS Accredited undergraduate or post-graduate degree.

Assistant Property Manager Training Programme

We've also put in place a framework to develop fully-trained Property Managers, structuring an 18-month in-house skills programme.

Internal and External Onsite Staff Training

We enthusiastically promote continual personal development (CPD), recording all internal and external courses and training with CPD certification. We offer a number of bespoke training packages on such topics as:

  • Health & Safety
  • Customer Services
  • Technical Behavioural Skills

We also deploy specialist training consultants and external training courses.
