Sam Short goes 'Back to the floor' in Croydon

I recently joined the Day Concierge at Morello Quarter. The day brought several unexpected issues that showcased their ability to handle situations under pressure. While I was happy to assist in overcoming the obstacles, I was very impressed with how the concierge handled themselves and was proud to have them on board to represent the company. The attitude and aptitude on display continued to impress me, and the focus and drive to find a solution was inspiring.

I enjoyed listening to the experiences of the concierge and was encouraged by the thoughtful feedback I received regarding the improvement of operations on site. I contributed to the tidying of one of the lobbies and very much enjoyed working alongside the concierge to work as a team and improve the common parts. Staff morale was high despite some trying moments, which created a warm and inviting atmosphere at the development.

I observed our core values in action throughout my time at Morello Quarter and was impressed by the professionalism shown during some testing moments. While I wasn’t surprised at the fantastic work ethic of employees, my time spent with them helped me further understand all the hard work that goes into their daily routines. They are a credit to Rendall & Rittner and Morello Quarter, and I am pleased to have the opportunity to work with them.
