Hospitality professionals find jobs in property management

Hospitality was unfortunately one of the industries worst hit by the pandemic with record numbers of employees leaving the sector. The loss of workers from the hospitality sector is proving a gain for the property management industry as former hotel workers are taking up job opportunities with residential managing agents. We have employed a growing number of former hospitality professionals whose customer service skills are particularly valued, and we are proactively encouraging applications from others.

Investing in jobs for young people

Creating jobs for young people was one of the most pressing issues in the Chancellor’s summer update, when he announced a new £2bn Kickstart Scheme to create hundreds of thousands of jobs for young people in the wake of coronavirus. Measures include big investments in apprenticeships, traineeships and employment support schemes as the government seeks to stave off high levels of unemployment for this demographic.

I recently went Back to the Floor at our Leftbank development in Manchester where I spent the day as a caretaker/cleaner. I found the experience of spending a day on-site incredibly rewarding, and learnt a lot about the work the team carry out daily.
