What gets you out of bed in the morning?
I am an optimist and I love to be busy. Knowing that every day is different, and I can make a difference motivates me each morning.
What do you like most about your job?
I like working with professionals both within our company with our customers and suppliers, who often push me to take on new and challenging opportunities. I feel respected and valued for what I bring to the company.
What challenges do you face?
The biggest challenge has been adapting to the changes that Covid-19 has brought about. Motivating team members and making sure that I’m visible and available to them to provide support and guidance.
How has COVID-19 changed the way you work?
Much of our time is spent in meetings and although in-person meetings are preferable, it is clear from feedback, that virtual meetings are going to be a vital part of our business even in the post-pandemic workplace.
What made you pursue this career?
There is never a dull moment in the world of property management! A property manager wears several hats and will meet people from widely varying backgrounds. There are opportunities for growth within our sector and further qualifications - It is very rewarding!
Who inspires you?
My mum who has always been hard working and has stayed strong in the face of adversity. My son who every day teaches me the value of hard work and good humour and my fiancé who reminds me to trust in myself and to find time to let my hair down and have fun.
What are you most proud of?
Where I am today, my family and my career at Rendall and Rittner. Also, I recently started the Couch to 5k plan and am proud to say that I am now a runner - I can now run 28 minutes! (not to be underestimated)
What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Unsurprisingly long walks are a big part of my life, and I’m a fair weather cyclist. Being in the fresh air is important to me and so is sharing a good bottle of wine with friends. If I can achieve both of those that would be my perfect day!
